General Agreement
●By booking with Sunrise Travel & Tours (referred to as “the Tour Operator”, “Organizer”, “we”, “us” and “our”), you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”).
- ●In these Terms & Conditions, “Traveller(s)”, “Guest(s)”, “you” and “your” means all persons named on the booking (including anyone who is added or substituted at a later date) or any of them, as the context requires.
- ●References to “departure” are the start date of the arrangements we have contracted to provide.
- ●These T&Cs form part of your binding contract alongside your booking confirmation, invoice, and any other written communication provided by the Tour Operator.
- ●Where bookings are made by a group leader or travel agent, that individual is deemed responsible for ensuring that all members of the travelling party are aware of and accept these T&Cs.
Passenger Agreement
- ●The lead passenger confirms that all information provided during booking is accurate and complete.
- ●The lead passenger accepts financial responsibility for the booking on behalf of all Travellers in the party.
- ●Any incorrect details provided may result in additional charges, refusal of travel services, or cancellation of travel arrangements.
Voluntary Participation

- ●Travel with the Tour Operator is voluntary, and by participating, you confirm that:
- ●You understand the nature of the travel experience, which may include adventurous activities, exposure to varied conditions, and different cultural, social and safety standards.
- ●You accept that itineraries may require active participation (e.g. walking, handling luggage, boarding vehicles or boats).
- ●You acknowledge that participation is at your own discretion and risk.
- ●You agree to follow the reasonable instructions of tour leaders, guides, and local representatives at all times for your own safety and the wellbeing.
Knowing and Voluntary Execution
- ●By booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
- ●You further confirm that you are of legal age to enter into this agreement, and that you have the authority to do so on behalf of all named Travellers.
English Language
- ●All contracts, booking documents, itineraries, and official communications will be issued in English.
- ●It is the responsibility of the Traveller to ensure they understand the information provided.
- ●In the event of any discrepancy between translated material and the English version, the English version shall prevail.
Use of Website
- ●By accessing or using the Tour Operator’s website, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these Terms.
- ●All information displayed, including itineraries, pricing, and availability, is provided in good faith. However, the Tour Operator is not liable for occasional typographical errors or technical issues.
- ●Unauthorised use, including attempts to copy, modify, or exploit the website for commercial purposes, is prohibited.
Use of AI Assistant
- ●Where the Tour Operator provides access to an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant for queries or booking support:
- ●The AI assistant is intended as a guide only and does not override these Terms.
- ●The Tour Operator is not liable for inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations provided by the AI assistant.
- ●Travellers are encouraged to verify information directly with the Tour Operator before relying on it for bookings or decisions.
Reservations
- ●Reservations are confirmed once:
- A non-refundable deposit has been received; and- A completed registration form (or equivalent booking details) has been provided.●The Tour Operator reserves the right to refuse any booking without explanation. In such cases, any deposit received will be refunded in full.●Group bookings: Where a booking is made on behalf of multiple Travellers, the leader is responsible for ensuring that all members have reviewed and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Reservation Changes
●General Booking Changes:- The Tour Operator does not charge for minor booking changes.- However, where third-party costs are incurred (e.g. hotel, airline or supplier fees), these will be passed on to the Traveller.- Costs may increase closer to departure; therefore, early notification of changes is recommended.
●Land or Cruise Packages:- Before the final payment due date: changes to destination, departure date, or replacement of a Traveller will incur a $25 amendment fee per person. -After the final payment due date: changes will be treated as cancellations and subject to applicable cancellation penalties.
●Optional Services:- Changes to optional tours or pre-arranged transfers are permitted up to 7 days before departure and are not subject to the amendment fee.
●Airline Tickets:-Passenger name or itinerary changes may require cancellation and rebooking at prevailing prices.- Airline change and cancellation penalties will apply in addition to any amendment fees.- Before ticket issuance: flights may be cancelled without penalty and are not subject to the amendment fee.
●After ticket issuance:- Passenger name or itinerary changes may require cancellation and rebooking at prevailing prices.- Airline change and cancellation penalties will apply in addition to any amendment fees.
Last Minute Bookings
- All reservations must be made no later than 7 days prior to departure.- If requested services cannot be confirmed, any payment received will be refunded in full.- Where services are confirmed, all applicable cancellation penalties will apply.
Minimum Purchase
- Some itineraries may require a minimum purchase (e.g. a minimum number of nights or passengers).- Details of such requirements will be provided at the time of booking.- If minimum purchase requirements are not met, the Tour Operator reserves the right to cancel or modify the itinerary, offering a refund.
Custom Groups
- Custom group itineraries may be created on request.- Requests must be made in advance and are subject to review, pricing adjustments, and availability.- Cancellation penalties for custom groups may differ from standard terms and will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
Deposit
●A non-refundable deposit (as specified at the time of booking) is required to confirm your reservation.●On certain departures, higher or immediate deposits may be required to hold seats, especially for air-inclusive packages.●Promotional deposits (where offered at a reduced rate) may be subject to different terms and conditions, which shall prevail in the event of conflict.●If the required deposit is not received within 7 days of booking, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
Full Payment
●The balance of your trip must be paid no later than 60 days prior to departure, unless otherwise specified.●For reservations made after the final payment due date, full payment will be required immediately.●In the case of multiple-trip bookings, payment schedules will follow the departure date of the first trip booked.●If payment is not received by the due date:●Your booking will be subject to automatic cancellation; and●Cancellation fees (link or anchor to Cancellations) will apply.
Late Payment
●If there is any outstanding balance after the final payment due date, all travel services may be cancelled automatically.●You may reinstate your booking up to seven (7) days after cancellation by paying an administrative reinstatement fee of $250 (plus any supplier charges incurred).●After this period, the booking will be deemed cancelled and subject to full cancellation penalties.
Form of Payment
●Accepted methods of payment include:- Major credit or debit cards (processed securely, often via PayPal or direct merchant facilities).- International bank wire transfer (all associated fees are the responsibility of the Traveller).●For credit card payments, the following details must be provided:- Cardholder’s billing address,- Card expiration date,- Card security code.●Our standard payment currency is USD ($), though we are pleased to also accept EUR (€) for your convenience.●The Operator is entitled to retain any interest earned on monies received.
Prices
●All prices are quoted per person, in US Dollars (USD), based on twin-share accommodation unless otherwise stated.●Single room supplements apply for Travellers requesting private occupancy.●Prices do not include:- Items of a personal nature (e.g. laundry, beverages, minibar, telephone calls).- Passport and visa fees, travel insurance, or vaccinations.- Optional tours, excursions, or experiences not expressly stated as included.●Prices are correct at the time of publication but may fluctuate due to:- Airline fare changes,- Exchange rate variations,- Supplier-imposed surcharges (e.g. government taxes or fuel surcharges).●In the event of human or computer error, the Operator reserves the right to re-invoice at the correct price.- If you choose not to pay the adjusted rate, you may cancel with a full refund, provided written notice is received within 5 days of notification in writing (via email or WhatsApp).
Documents
●Provided full payment is received by the final due date:- Electronic travel documents (e-docs) will be issued no later than 21 days prior to departure.
●Documents will not be released until:- Full payment has cleared; and- Required personal details, emergency contact information, and passport data have been provided.
●It is your responsibility to check all documentation carefully and notify the Operator immediately of any inaccuracies.
Cancellations by the Traveller
- Cancellations must be submitted in writing (via email or WhatsApp).
- ●Cancellation for Tour Packages and Cruises:
- 45 days prior: Full refund, excluding domestic flights and hotel fees.- 30 days prior: 50% refund, excluding domestic flights and hotel fees.- 20 days or less: Non-refundable.
- ●Cancellation for Day Tours:
- Cancel more than 24 hours in advance to receive a refund, excluding the deposit.- Cancel within 24 hours and no refund can be provided.
●Failure to join trip on departure date
- Treated as cancellation.- 100% cancellation fees apply unless the Guest notifies the Tour Operator and rejoins later at their own expense.

- ●Room changes caused by cancellation
- - If a cancellation results in a room reconfiguration (e.g., twin share to single), the remaining party members will be liable for the adjusted room cost.

Early Return, Illness or Absence
- ●No refunds are provided for Guests who leave a trip early, whether voluntarily, due to illness, government action, or any other reason.
- ●This includes unused hotels, transfers, meals, sightseeing, or optional extensions.
- ●Return travel and expenses are the responsibility of the Traveller unless caused by the Tour Operator’s negligence.
Future Travel Credits (FTC)
●In certain cancellation scenarios, refunds may be issued as Future Travel Credits.
●FTCs:- Are valid for 18 months from date of issue.- May be redeemed against any escorted tour operated by the Tour Operator.- Are non-transferable unless otherwise specified.- Must be applied to prevailing prices at the time of rebooking (any increase in price is the Traveller’s responsibility).

Cancellations by the Tour Operator
●The Tour Operator reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any trip, accommodation, or in-destination service.
●Non-operation of Escorted Tour- Offer an alternative tour of equal or higher value at no additional cost; or- Offer a lower value tour with a refund of the difference; or- Provide a full refund, less unrecoverable third-party costs.- In the event that a scheduled escorted tour does not operate, the Tour Operator will:
Cancellations due to Failure to Pay
- ●If full payment is not received by the due date, the Tour Operator may cancel the reservation without refund.
- ●Guests may reinstate their trip by paying an administrative fee (e.g., up to USD 250) within a seven (7) day grace period.
Cancellations due to Force Majeure Events
- ●For the purposes of this Agreement, “Force Majeure Event” shall mean any act, event, omission or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Tour Operator or its suppliers which prevents, hinders or delays the performance of their obligations under this Agreement. Without limitation, such events shall include: war (whether declared or not), armed conflict, acts of terrorism or the threat thereof, civil commotion, riot or disorder; any epidemic, pandemic or outbreak of disease representing a serious risk to human health; natural disasters including but not limited to floods, earthquakes, storms or other adverse weather conditions rendering travel to or continued stay at the destination unsafe; any action or restriction imposed by government or public authorities (including, without limitation, port or river authorities); industrial disputes, strikes, lockouts or other labour disturbances; fire, explosion, natural or nuclear catastrophe, chemical or biological incident; unavoidable technical failures affecting transport; and any other event or circumstance of a similar nature which is outside the reasonable control of the Company or its suppliers.
●In such cases:- Guests will receive a Future Travel Credit (FTC) equal to payments made, less unrecoverable third-party costs.- FTCs are valid for 18 months.- If a trip is terminated mid-journey, the Tour Operator may provide alternative services (e.g., hotels, transfers), which will be at the guest’s expense.
5.1 General Refund Policy
Refunds are only available in circumstances expressly provided for under these Booking Conditions. Where eligible, refunds shall be made exclusively in United States Dollars (USD) and returned to the original form of payment used at the time of booking. Refunds will only be processed after written notice of cancellation has been received by the Provider and once all applicable cancellation charges, third-party fees, and non-refundable amounts have been deducted. All refunds are subject to the terms and conditions of third-party suppliers (including but not limited to airlines, hotels, cruise operators, and transport providers). Refunds are not guaranteed where suppliers declare amounts as non-refundable.
5.2 Refund Exclusions
The following amounts are strictly non-refundable:
- All non-refundable deposits as stated in Category 3 (Payments).
- Airline tickets, promotional fares, and published fares deemed non-refundable by the carrier.
- Cancellation Waiver Fees or other optional protection fees.
- Visa costs, travel insurance premiums, and government-imposed fees such as entry/exit taxes.
- Costs associated with optional excursions or activities operated by independent third-party suppliers.
- Any unrecoverable third-party costs incurred by the Provider on the guest’s behalf.
5.3 Refund Timelines
Where a refund is approved, the Provider shall process payment within thirty (30) to forty-five (45) business days of the effective cancellation date, provided all necessary documentation has been submitted and funds have been recovered from suppliers. Guests acknowledge that certain refunds may take longer if dependent on third-party supplier policies. Refunds shall be credited back to the original form of payment; no cash refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
5.4 Refund Administration Fees
An administration fee may be deducted from the refundable amount to cover processing, communication, and banking costs. Such fees are in addition to any cancellation charges outlined under Category 4 (Cancellations). Guests will be notified in writing of the final refund amount after deductions.
5.5 Future Travel Credits (FTCs)
Where a cash refund is not available due to supplier restrictions or Force Majeure events, the Provider may issue a Future Travel Credit (FTC) equal to the value of recoverable funds paid. FTCs are non-transferable except to immediate family members and must be redeemed by the expiry date specified at issuance. Credits can only be applied towards a new booking of equal or greater value, subject to availability. No partial refunds of FTCs will be provided once issued. By accepting an FTC, the guest waives the right to pursue further cash refunds relating to the original cancelled booking.
Hotel Accommodations
●Prices are per person, based on twin-share occupancy (two persons sharing a room with private bath or shower).
●Triple rooms may be available in limited numbers on selected holidays. These may use rollaway beds, sofa beds, or cots; three adults may find these rooms small.
●Quad occupancy rooms are rare and may involve the use of additional rollaway or folding beds.
●Some single rooms are smaller than standard rooms, and single supplements will apply.
●Every effort is made to provide twin-bedded rooms. However, in some cases, a room with one double bed may be the only option and will be allocated first to solo travellers or couples.
●Room allocation and selection remain at the discretion of the hotel’s management and are provided on a “run-of-house” basis unless otherwise confirmed.
Room Categories and Standards (Egypt-Specific)
●Sunrise Travel & Tours selects accommodations exclusively from a curated and carefully vetted list of hotels and cruise partners.
●Each property on our list has been independently reviewed and approved by our team to ensure that it meets international standards of comfort, service, and quality.
●Our vetting process considers:
- Star rating compliance against international benchmarks
- Cleanliness and maintenance
- Guest safety and security measures
- Service levels and staff professionalism
- On-site facilities and accessibility features
- Consistent guest feedback and our own long-standing operational experience
●Accommodation categories offered:
- Standard Room – Comfortable, entry-level accommodation with essential furnishings and private facilities.
- Deluxe Room – Upgraded amenities, more space and often superior room location or view.
- Luxury Room – Premium finishes, enhanced comfort features and larger or better-equipped facilities.
- Suites – Spacious units with separate living and sleeping areas, premium amenities and, where available, personalised services.
●Facilities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, lifts and interconnecting rooms vary by property and location and cannot be universally guaranteed.
●Important Notice:
-From the outset, Sunrise commits to booking only from its pre-vetted portfolio of trusted hotels and partners, all of which are selected to align with international rating standards.
- In rare cases where substitute accommodation is required due to limited availability, we will draw from the same vetted list and make every effort to provide a property of similar standard.
- Should a lower-standard property be the only option available, a partial refund will be issued to reflect the difference in value.
Check-In and Check-Out
- Hotel check-in: Usually from 14:00. Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur extra fees.
- Hotel check-out: Typically 12:00 noon. Late check-out is subject to availability and may also incur extra charges.
- Cruise check-in: Generally from 11:00. Early embarkation may be available for an additional fee.
- Cruise check-out: Typically 09:00. Extended cabin use after this time may incur a charge.
Special Requests
- Requests for adjacent rooms, connecting rooms, or rooms on specific floors must be made at the time of booking.
- Such requests cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability at check-in.
- Requests for accessibility features (e.g., wheelchair-accessible rooms, step-free access) must be submitted in writing and confirmed in advance.
Smoking Policy
- Many hotels, lodges, and luxury tented camps are entirely smoke-free, including guest rooms, restaurants, lounges, and public spaces.
- Smoking in non-smoking areas, including guest rooms, may result in a fine charged directly by the property.
- Outdoor smoking areas, if available, are determined by the property’s management and local laws.
Substitute Accommodation
- Substitute accommodation of a comparable standard may be provided if the contracted property is unavailable.
- If the alternative accommodation is of materially lower standard, a refund equal to the reduction in value will be provided.
Hotel Programmes
- Hotel loyalty or frequent traveller points cannot be earned on reservations made through the Tour Operator.
- Hotels may not recognise corporate or personal membership benefits for group bookings arranged by the Tour Operator.
River Cruises
- River cruise prices are based on twin-share cabins with two berths, private shower, and toilet.
- A limited number of single or triple cabins may be available at an additional cost.
- Cabin assignments are made on a run-of-ship basis, and specific location requests cannot be guaranteed.
- Cruise facilities and inclusions may vary by vessel and itinerary.
Rail
●All rail journeys are in standard class, unless otherwise stated in the itinerary.
●Train services are subject to local conditions, regulations, and scheduling by national rail operators.
●Seat reservations, onboard facilities, and baggage policies vary by provider and are outside the direct control of Sunrise Travel & Tours.
Transfers
●Airport, hotel, railway station, and pier transfers are included only where specifically noted in the itinerary.
●Transfers can be purchased as optional add-ons where not included.
●For included transfers, travellers must provide accurate flight details at least 21–65 days prior to departure, depending on destination.
●Failure to provide correct details or missed transfers due to late/incorrect information will result in forfeiture with no refund.
●If transfers are missed due to Sunrise’s negligence, a full refund or alternative arrangement will be provided.
Sightseeing & Itinerary
●All sightseeing is conducted in private motorcoaches, cruises, or local vehicles as specified in the itinerary.
●Motorcoaches are modern, air-conditioned, and designed for comfort, typically configured with 40–45 reclining seats for approximately 40 guests.
●Facilities may include:
- Onboard washroom (subject to closure in extreme weather or high altitude for safety reasons)
- Wi-Fi availability in many destinations (connectivity and speed vary; streaming not supported)
- Air conditioning, reading lights, and large panoramic windows
●Driver Hours: Due to regulations, replacement motorcoaches may be required on longer itineraries. These may feature up to 53 seats without a washroom.
●Service Guarantee: If a substitute lower-standard motorcoach is provided, a refund of USD $10 per person, per day will be issued.
●Rest Breaks: Additional breaks will be incorporated when onboard toilets are unavailable.
●Sightseeing Inclusions:
- Entry fees and local specialist guides (where required) are included as per the itinerary.
- Some activities may require a signed liability waiver. Participation is voluntary and at the traveller’s own risk.
●Custom Itineraries & Private Excursions:
- Available on request, subject to additional charges.
- Requests must be submitted in writing to Sunrise prior to travel.
Porterage & Luggage
●Porterage for one suitcase per traveller is included at hotels (except where stated otherwise).
●Motorcoach luggage policy:
- One checked bag up to 23kg (50 lbs), maximum dimensions 77.5cm x 56cm x 32cm.
- One carry-on bag per person, maximum size 30cm x 28cm x 14cm.
- Carry-ons with wheels and telescopic handles are not permitted on motorcoaches.
●Carry-on/hand luggage is the traveller’s responsibility to load/unload daily.
●Stricter luggage limits may apply on safari vehicles, internal flights, or cruises.
●Lost or damaged luggage is the responsibility of the traveller unless caused by Sunrise’s negligence.
Traveller Responsibilities

Children
- All children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult throughout the journey.- Children under 6 years travel free of charge (details must be provided under “Special Requirements” on the booking form).- Children aged 6–12 years receive a 50% discount on the applicable adult rate, based on the cabin or room booked.- All children must share a cabin or room with an adult.- If a child under 18 is travelling with only one parent, or with adults who are not their parents, a notarised authorisation letter from the non-travelling parent(s) is required. This letter must include the dates of travel and permission for the child to travel.
Emergency Contact Details
●Travellers must provide Sunrise with:- A valid emergency contact name and number- Travel insurance details (if applicable)- Any important medical, dietary, or mobility information
●These details must be submitted at the time of booking or no later than the final payment deadline.●Without this information, travel documents may not be released.
Travellers Needing Special Assistance
●Travellers requiring mobility assistance (e.g., wheelchairs, walking aids, strollers) must notify Sunrise at the time of booking or as soon as the need becomes known.●Sunrise will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special requirements but cannot guarantee availability of specific services or equipment.●Travellers who require ongoing assistance (e.g., pushing a wheelchair, personal care) must be accompanied by a capable travelling companion.●Sunrise staff, including Travel Directors, guides, and drivers, cannot provide one-to-one assistance of this nature.●Failure to notify Sunrise in advance may result in removal from the trip, with any related costs borne by the traveller.
Health Requirements
●Travellers are responsible for ensuring they meet health, vaccination, and fitness requirements for all destinations visited.●Sunrise strongly recommends consulting a qualified medical professional for advice on necessary vaccinations, preventative treatments, or other health preparations.●Travellers must be able to follow the instructions of the Travel Director and local staff at all times for their safety and the safety of others.
●Sunrise reserves the right to decline or remove any traveller if their health, behaviour, or condition is deemed to:- Pose a risk to themselves or others- Impede the enjoyment of other participants- Prevent the smooth operation of the trip
- ●All associated expenses, including cancellation or early return costs, will be the traveller’s responsibility.
Fitness to Travel
●By booking a tour, travellers confirm that they are medically and physically fit to participate in the chosen itinerary.●Sunrise may require a doctor’s certificate for travellers aged 70 years or older, or for those with known medical conditions.●Participation may be refused if Sunrise reasonably believes a traveller is unfit to undertake the tour.
Medical Facilities and Illness During Travel
- ●Many destinations visited may not have the same standard of medical care available as in the UK or Europe.
- ●Travellers acknowledge that emergency medical facilities, evacuation, or treatment may be limited or costly.
●In the event of illness or injury during the tour:- The traveller may be required to withdraw from the trip at their own expense.- Sunrise will assist in arranging medical care but assumes no liability for the quality or outcome of such care.- Refunds will not be issued for unused services, though insurance may cover such losses.
- ●Travellers are strongly advised to carry comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, repatriation, and cancellation due to illness.
Meals & Dietary Requests
●Meals included in your itinerary are specified in your booking documents.
●Requests for special dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies) must be provided at the time of booking.
●While Sunrise makes reasonable efforts to communicate dietary needs to service providers, we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met in every location.
●Some dietary requirements may incur additional costs, payable directly to the supplier.
●Meals not specified in the itinerary are at the Traveller’s own expense.
Travel Safety Advice
●Travellers are responsible for ensuring they are aware of and comply with all official travel advisories prior to and during their trip.
●Sunrise monitors guidance from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and relevant international bodies.
●In certain regions, health and safety standards may differ from those in the UK and Europe. Travellers must exercise caution and follow all instructions from their Travel Director or local representatives.
●Sunrise accepts no liability for incidents arising from failure to follow safety instructions, negligence, or participation in unauthorised activities.
Optional Sightseeing Tours & Activities:
●Optional excursions and activities are available to enhance your holiday experience.
●These may be purchased:
- In advance (where available)
- On tour, via your Travel Director or local host
●Participation in optional activities is entirely voluntary and at the Traveller’s own risk.
●Optional activities may require minimum participation and are subject to availability, seasonal conditions, or weather.
●Costs are payable in USD (or as specified) and are non-refundable once booked.
●Liability for optional tours lies with the independent third-party providers, not with Sunrise.
Tipping
●Tips (gratuities) are included for dining-room waiters, hotel housekeeping staff, and porters at contracted hotels.
●Tips are not included for:
- Travel Directors
- Motorcoach drivers
- Local guides or specialists (outside the Americas)
●Suggested guidelines for voluntary tipping:
- Travel Director: $5–$7 USD per person, per day
- Motorcoach Driver: $3–$5 USD per person, per day
- Local Guides: $2–$4 USD per person, per half-day tour
●Tipping is discretionary, but strongly encouraged where service has been satisfactory.
●For cruises, rail journeys, or other transport services, tipping policies vary and will be provided with booking documents.
Booking & Tickets
●Airline Booking
●Sunrise offers a choice of airlines and airfares for convenience, but is not responsible for the policies, services, or performance of the selected airline.
●Airline schedules, routings, and aircraft types are subject to change without notice.
●Air reservations completed online are subject to review. If adjustments are required to meet minimum connection times or align with your itinerary, Sunrise may rebook flights and notify you accordingly.
●Passengers must provide:
- Full legal name (exactly as shown in the passport)
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Contact details (address, phone, email)
- Passport information (number, nationality, issue/expiry date)
- Redress or known Traveller number (if applicable)
●Sunrise is not liable for denied boarding or missed flights due to incorrect or incomplete passenger information.
Airline Tickets
●Once issued, airline tickets are non-transferable and subject to airline-specific rules.
●If airfare has been paid in full (whether at the time of booking for instant ticketing or at final balance due date), tickets will be issued and are governed by the airline’s conditions of carriage.
●Issued tickets are subject to airline-imposed penalties for changes or cancellations.
Airline Name Changes & Corrections
●Any name change, including minor spelling corrections, may require cancellation and rebooking of the air ticket.
●Once rebooked, the new ticket is subject to current availability and fares.
●Name corrections after ticket issuance are subject to:
- Airline penalties (which may equal the full value of the ticket), plus
- Sunrise’s administration fee of $50 per correction.
●Sunrise is not liable if services are denied by an airline due to incorrect passenger names.
Airline Schedule Changes
●Airlines may change flight times, routings, or aircraft types.
●Sunrise will make reasonable efforts to notify passengers of such changes in advance.
●Compensation or remedies for airline schedule changes are solely at the discretion of the airline.
●Sunrise cannot provide reimbursement for additional costs incurred as a result of schedule changes (e.g., missed connections, seat cancellations).
Seats & Services
●Airline Seat Assignments
●Seat assignments are requested as a courtesy service and shown in the reservation when available.
●Some airlines:
- Do not allow pre-seating.
- Only allocate seats at check-in.
- Charge for preferred or extra-legroom seating.
●All seat assignments are subject to change by the airline due to operational requirements, equipment changes, or schedule changes.
●If passengers wish to purchase preferred seating, this must be arranged directly with the airline.
Airline Frequent Flyer Programmes
●Passengers are responsible for verifying mileage eligibility directly with their airline.
●Sunrise records frequent flyer numbers if provided before travel documents are issued, but cannot guarantee mileage accrual.
●Each airline determines whether flights qualify for points or miles.
Airline Contact Information
●Pursuant to Secure Flight requirements, Sunrise requires accurate passenger information (including passport data) at the time of booking.
●Passengers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all personal and flight details.
Baggage & Fees
Airline Baggage
●Baggage allowances are determined by the airline and vary by carrier, class of service, and route.
●Passengers are responsible for complying with airline baggage rules, including restrictions on weight, size, and number of pieces.
●Fees for excess baggage, overweight bags, or special items (e.g., sports equipment) are the responsibility of the passenger and payable directly to the airline.
Airline Taxes & Surcharges
●Taxes, fees, and surcharges imposed by governments or airlines are included in the quoted airfare unless otherwise stated.
●These charges are subject to change until the ticket is fully paid and issued.
●Once tickets are issued, fares (including taxes and surcharges) are non-refundable and non-changeable except as permitted by the airline
General Legal Notices
●By booking with Sunrise Travel and Tours (“the Tour Operator”), Travellers agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
●This contract supersedes all prior written or oral agreements, representations, or warranties, whether by travel agents, sales representatives, or third parties.
●Egyptian law governs these Terms and Conditions, with consideration of applicable UK and EU GDPR standards for data protection.
Assumption of Risk
●Travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Political instability
- Natural disasters
- Health hazards
- Transport disruptions
●By booking, Travellers acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for their participation.
Voluntary Participation
●Participation in tours and excursions is voluntary.
●By joining, Travellers confirm they:
●Are fit to travel.
●Understand the physical and cultural demands of the itinerary.
●Accept personal responsibility for participation.
Liability Limitations
●The Tour Operator is not liable for:
- Acts or omissions of third-party suppliers (e.g., airlines, hotels, transport companies).
- Losses due to theft, illness, accident, delay, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Expenses incurred as a result of force majeure events.
●Liability is limited to the value of the services purchased directly from the Tour Operator.
Force Majeure
●The Tour Operator shall not be held responsible for failure to perform obligations when caused by:
- Acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, or pandemics.
- War, terrorism, civil unrest, or strikes.
- Governmental regulations or restrictions.
●In such cases:
- A Future Travel Credit (FTC) may be issued equal to payments made, less unrecoverable third-party costs.
- FTCs are valid for 18 months from the cancellation date.
- Rescheduling will be offered where possible; any fare or price differences are the Traveller’s responsibility.
Smoking & Illegal Drugs:
●Smoking is prohibited in all transport vehicles, group dining areas, and designated non-smoking hotel rooms.
●Travellers who violate smoking policies may be subject to fines by hotels or removal from the tour.
●Possession or use of illegal drugs is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate termination of travel arrangements, without refund.
Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
●All disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Egypt, which will have exclusive jurisdiction.
●Travellers waive rights to join class actions or to seek punitive damages.
●Claims must be filed within 6 months of the incident giving rise to the dispute.
Binding Arbitration (if applicable under Egyptian law)
●Disputes not settled through negotiation may be referred to binding arbitration in Cairo, Egypt.
●Arbitration will follow recognised international arbitration procedures.
Photographic & Video Release
●By participating, Travellers grant the Tour Operator a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use photographs, video, and other media taken during the trip for promotional or commercial purposes.
●Travellers who wish to opt out must notify the Tour Operator in writing before the start of the tour.
●While reasonable efforts will be made, exclusion from incidental group or background shots cannot be guaranteed.
