Visit El Nabi Daniel Mosque, believed by many to be related to Alexander the Great’s Tomb and to contain the remains of the scholar and venerated teacher, Prophet Daniel. Proceed to the prettiest and largest mosque in the city, Abbo Elabbas Mosque.
Opposite is the corniche and the old harbor where you can see fishing boats and traditional fishermen making nets. Pass by the Quaitbay Castle, built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. Head then to the gardens of Montaza.
Explore the royal gardens of King Farouk and stop at the famous Bridge of Stanley on the way back. Then settle in for an overnight in Alexandria.
