Giftun Island: A Tropical Escape in the Red Sea

Two kinds of birds affected by extinction are found in Giftun Island. They are the kittiwake and a specific kind of eagle. There is also one of the rare turtles that live on the beaches of Giftun Island.

Giftun Island is considered one of the most important natural habitats for seagulls, where 50% of the seagulls in the world reside; in addition to other types of birds and reptiles. It is also characterized by its soft sand and the wonderful diving sites surrounding it; as well as fabulous natural resources, including beautiful beaches.

Giftun Island is one of the most important diving and naval activity spots. It is surrounded by 14 of the best diving spots, from 44 spots in the whole Hurghada. This number represents about 31% of the diving centers in Hurghada. It is also considered the first in terms of importance to the tourism sector; as it is the only island that is allowed to go on it only.
